• Regular City Council Meeting - Please note that the regular city council meeting will be held on Thursday instead of Wednesday due to the City Holiday. Please mark your calendars for the different meeting date of November 12th!

• Veterans Day - Wednesday, November 11th. All city offices will be closed in observance of Veterans Day. Please note: Pelican Fuels will be closed and callouts are subject to a $200 holiday callout fee. Regular hours will resume on Friday, November 13th.

• Thanksgiving Holidays - Thursday, November 26th and Friday, November 27th. All city offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday. Pelican Fuels will resume regular hours on Saturday, November 28th. There will be no garbage service on Friday.

• Ferry Service - Saturday, November 21st. Yakobi Fisheries will not be providing freight services for the December ferry, so plan ahead!

• On-Time Customer Raffle! Residential utility accounts that are paid on time will be entered into a raffle for a chance to receive $100 off your utility bill, or $100 toward Pelican Fuels. Thank you for keeping your accounts current and being part of our community.

• Winter Reminders - Interested in snow shoveling? As winter approaches, we’re looking for individuals interested in helping with snow shoveling. If you’d like to be a snow shoveler, please stop by and talk to the City!

• As we head into snow-clearing season, here are some helpful reminders:

  Keep an eye on those temperatures and remember to turn your circ pump on.

  Keep the boardwalk, floats/fingers, public walkways, rights-of-way, roads, and other common access areas clear of bulky items, debris, and obstructions. These areas must remain unobstructed to allow snow removal equipment to safely and efficiently clear snow throughout the winter season.

  Shovel your porches and walkways no later than 24 hours after the snow falls.

  Please don’t shovel your snow into the public right of way.

  Be a snow angel! Check in with your neighbor to see if they need help removing snow or ice.

• PVFD Chimney Sweep Available - Pelican Volunteer Fire Department has a 20-foot chimney sweep available, and volunteers may be available to assist if needed.
