City Council Meetings:

Regular City Council Meeting: Wednesday, June 11th

Board of Equalization Meeting: Thursday, June 26th at 5:30 p.m.

The City Council will sit as a Board of Equalization on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. to pass thereon, to hear objections from property owners, and to make necessary adjustments on assessments. If you feel that your property has been assessed unfairly or incorrectly, be sure to see the assessor immediately. Appeals must be filed in writing within twenty-one (21) days of mailing this notice. Taxes become delinquent at 5:00 p.m. on October 15th of any year and are subject to interest and penalty charges. Taxes are payable upon receipt of this tax statement. After the final meeting of the Board of Equalization, no further adjustments can be made.

City Holiday:

In observance of Juneteenth, Thursday, June 19th, 2025, all city offices will be closed. There will be no garbage pickup and no fuel callouts for Pelican Fuels.

Utility Updates:

The City Council will be reviewing a proposed water service rate increase this month.

Commercial garbage pickup has begun on Wednesdays. Thank you for your cooperation as we implement this new schedule.

Clinic Dates:

•The SEARHC clinic will be open June 9th – June 11th.

Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Schedule:
